Project Overview

    Century Ponds is an approved residential development that will transform the former Ramsey County Ponds golf course, which closed in 2021, into a new neighborhood. The development includes 133 single-family homes and 73 townhomes, along with a public park, trail connections, and HOA-maintained open space on approximately 92 acres located southwest of Lower Afton Road East and Century Avenue South.

    The project will be constructed in two phases. Site development and infrastructure work are anticipated to occur over the next three summer construction seasons, while home building is expected to take place year-round over the next five years. The site design prioritizes preservation of wetlands, natural areas, and the existing vegetated buffer along the western boundary. Where feasible, portions of the former golf cart path will be repurposed into a community trail system to enhance connectivity and access to open space.

Project Updates

Construction work hours
    • Typical working hours for construction crews are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday
Construction vehicle traffic
    • Expect construction vehicles and trucks hauling materials in and out of the area
    • Haul routes coordinated with city and county to minimize impacts to surrounding area - Site access to northern portion of site from Century Ave or Lower Afton. - Site access to southern portion of site from Linwood Ave via Century Ave, only
Noise and vibrations
    • Noise and vibration levels may be higher than typical non-construction times
Dust
    • Construction activities can create dust
    • Sweeping and water trucks used to minimize dust and dirt blowing from the work areas

Site appearance
    • Construction sites kept clean through regular waste removal and street
Site safety and security
    • Construction sites involve the movement of heavy equipment and activities
    • DO NOT enter construction sites

Property damage
    • The contractor is committed to avoiding damage to surrounding properties. If you think damage to your property has occurred due to construction activities, call the project hotline as soon as possible
